Embracing Healing and Renewal on the Pisces New Moon
Hey, there, it's Evan Nathaniel Grimm, and welcome to the latest episode of Astrology Unbound, and today we're going to talk about the Pisces new moon on February 27th, and this really puts us at the doorstep of eclipse season. Now, the new moon itself is not an eclipse, but it will be followed up with by a lunar eclipse, a total lunar eclipse in Virgo, two weeks later, on March 13th. So you'll definitely want to listen to this episode and prepare yourself for this new moon, which is not, you know, any kind of new moon to be scared of. It's just a renewal, and luckily, a renewal in which there are no planetary retrogrades, although there will be about two days later, with Venus stationing retrograde. So, before I kick this episode off, definitely check out my Substack newsletter. That is where you can go into even a greater level of depth, with manifestation guides for every new moon release, guidelines for the full moons, educational content, manifestation rituals, cord cutting rituals and a lot more, and also be sure to download my 2025 horoscopes if you have not yet. Over 11,000 of you have downloaded one so far, and these horoscopes are a great way to kind of pull yourself out of the maze and look down at the maze from a bird's eye view and realize the patterns that are sort of inherent to the year, and you can use it as a blueprint and as a map to get from end to end in 2025 with a certain amount of confidence, as opposed to feeling stuck in the trenches. So it is a really, really solid way to again get a bird's eye view, not just on the year generally, but on the year as it pertains to your sun, moon and rising sign, and I always recommend that people download all three.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, let's dive in to the Pisces new moon. And where are we now as I'm filming this? Well, right now we are in Pisces season and really in that waning crescent phase, and so we're really closing out, starting to prepare for the next lunar cycle. And every new moon which again it happens every 29 and a half days very common event but every time there's a new moon it is an opportunity to again renew, rejuvenate, start something new, manifest, to begin to again materialize something, work towards your goals in the house of your chart where the new moon is happening, and typically our manifestation journey that has its originations at the new moon. That journey kind of peaks about two weeks later at the full moon. But also there is a broader theme that reaches a peak about six months later, during the full moon, in the same zodiac sign where the new moon occurred, during the full moon, in the same zodiac sign where the new moon occurred, and this one is at nine degrees of Pisces.
Speaker 1:And what's interesting is that we've had a lot. We've had a series of new moons at nine degrees, going back to the Scorpio new moon which was on, I believe, november 1st or November 4th. Oh no, it was November 1st. Yeah, oh no, it was November 1st. Yeah, so going or was it November 1st? Either way, it was early, early November. Let me actually check really quick on the computer here. So yeah, no, it was on November 1st.
Speaker 1:We've had again a series of new moons, all at the ninth degree, which is pretty rare, and the ninth degree is a Sagittarian degree. So in the degree theory, each degree represents a certain zodiac sign, using one degree as an Aries degree. Second degree is a Taurus degree, and so on, and then it repeats once it reaches 13 degrees, second degree is a Taurus degree, and so on, and then it repeats once it reaches 13 degrees, that becomes an Aries degree. And the ninth degree is a lot about belief. It is again a Sagittarian degree. So, like when I do readings for people with nine degrees of Sag or nine degrees of Gemini in their chart, they oftentimes have very strong convictions and beliefs about things and they tend to really advocate for a certain belief, whether it's religious or political, or it can also be really good at like sales or teaching, and that's because in that case it's like they're using the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, in addition to having the ninth degree activated, which amplifies the energy of those signs. But anyway, so the ninth degree is, you know, when we repeat that degree across many new moons, it is sort of, I think, it's asking us to really revisit our beliefs, our perspective on a lot of things, and I think that we are doing that right now.
Speaker 1:I actually, you know, as I'm talking or thinking out loud here, the ninth degree as a Sagittarian degree, you know, has to do with long distance flight and journeys. Even though Uranus and Aquarius deal with aviation and technology, sagittarius also has associations with this topic of long distance journeys. So, you know, we've witnessed the plane crashes, many plane crashes, right, a disproportionate amount, and while there are many factors behind that which I've laid out in my Substack newsletter, including the risk timeline, by the way. I do think the ninth degree being reinforced in these lunation cycles is it is actually speaking to this theme of flying, and I'm not saying that there will be I'm not saying there will be another crash during this new moon, by the way but I just find it interesting that the ninth degree again does speak to this general theme of Sagittarius and flight, but also, again, in a different sense, we are adjusting our entire belief systems.
Speaker 1:I think right now and I'm not even saying that politically, it's just you know, you might be looking at your life much differently, especially at a time when we are, I think, experiencing a bit of whiplash. I don't know if that's the word, but we are transitioning, I think, out of that immediate post-pandemic era where we were still sort of like reacting to the pandemic and the subsiding of that pandemic, and now we're in this phase where it's clearly like well behind us and I think we're all starting to realize that well, maybe working from home is socially isolating, or maybe social media isn't everything. Maybe I want to get back out there and you might be adjusting your perspective on something completely different than that. But I think, societally, we are trying to figure out. You know what is. I still think we're trying to figure out what the new normal is. Or maybe we want to go back to sort of a society where we're all connected in real life, or maybe not at all, but anyways, this is happening in Pisces.
Speaker 1:So we are looking at not only the sign of Pisces but the ruling planets of Pisces, jupiter and Neptune. Those planets will dictate some of the tone of this new moon. You always have to look at the planetary ruler. In this case, jupiter continues to be in Gemini in its detriment, and Jupiter in Gemini is very busy-minded, very ADHD in a way. It's just really absorbing a lot of information without always knowing, I think, how to piece it together. Even though Gemini really is concerned with facts and the sort of individual pieces of information and Jupiter's trying to expand that into a bigger perspective. Jupiter can't do that easily in Gemini Because Jupiter just amplifies the energy of the sign. So, with Gemini really wanting to digest as much information as possible, jupiter in Gemini just takes that to another level and just gives us more and more and more information, more news, more social media content, etc.
Speaker 1:And I think everybody at this point has a little bit of content fatigue or information fatigue, and so, with the new moon being in Pisces, which is a very reflective sign, some of you might take this time to slow down and take a breather. To slow down and take a breather. Maybe you will just decide to, you know, rein in your social media habits or, you know, even sacrifice anything that you would deem addictive. You know, because we have Saturn in Pisces as well, so many people are trying to cut back on certain things that maybe are overwhelming them or helping them escape in an unhealthy way. So Jupiter is squaring the new moon which, even though it's a square, I think it's dynamic. I think that does increase some optimism and belief and hope and faith in a better future, potentially.
Speaker 1:But juxtaposed with the Mercury-Saturn conjunction, with Mercury dispositing Jupiter and Gemini, I still believe that this Pisces new moon is a time of more so reigning in and cutting back and introspecting and closing off from the outside world. In some ways, and as I'm recording this podcast, mercury and Saturn are conjunct, exact, pretty much in Pisces. That's a very somber conjunction and a lot of people have maybe heard some heavy news today or had to deal some heavy news to somebody, or maybe you cut off contact with somebody or you wanted to take time away from again the constant drumbeat of social media and news and conversation. So it's a bit of a social week in that sense. So I think a lot of people are in a bit of a retreat mode on the Pisces new moon, especially after the Mars retrograde and cancer, which really dysregulated a lot of people emotionally.
Speaker 1:Again, it's not that it's a harmful or negative or daunting new moon, it's just it's not necessarily to me, a new moon where you know we're all going to be talking about it 20 years from now. I don't see it that way and is a tendency in the astrology community, at least on social media, to overplay some new and full moons, to overhype them. I think it would be unwise to overhype this one. There's always going to be world events, of course, that really shake things up and then someone will say, well, evan, you should have hyped it up. But again, do we really need to know about everything that's happening in everyone's life and in the world? I don't know.
Speaker 1:You know I saw a news story the other day as you all experienced this too of, like you know, some disastrous like crash in, like some country I've never been to like a bus crash or something, a bus crash in another bus, and it was like four people died or something, and you know that's obviously tragic and I would have wished that that didn't happen. I also ask myself, like how did I derive value from reading about that story? Did that merely sink me into a state of despair, but also powerlessness, because I really don't have any power to change that, and so I think we all experience a lot of fatigue from the 24-hour news cycle. So this is a great new moon to cut back and I hope you continue to listen to the podcast, obviously, but if you have to pull back from some type of media or some type of habit like I talked about Pisces has a lot to do with addiction this would be a great new moon to start again cutting back on any habit that you would deem to be unhealthy.
Speaker 1:The other planet that rules the new moon is Neptune, like I said, or sorry, the planet that rules Pisces, and therefore the new moon is Neptune, and it's at the 28th degree, which is familiar territory. It's still in a post-shadow phase after its previous retrograde, but it's kind of, you know, it's veering closer to Aries. It will go into the sign of Aries in about a month and that's the first time that Neptune will enter a new sign in, you know, 14 years or so. So Neptune at the tail end of its home sign of Pisces is a reckoning in some ways and it's showing us, you know, all the things that we still need to work on regarding addictive habits or regarding escapism, regarding delusional beliefs or behaviors, regarding avoidant tendencies. It's showing us that we still have to clean up our act in some of those areas. But it's also showing us some final opportunities to really open up to the ether, to the divine. And it's not that there's a final opportunity, but in a way that's very Piscean, right Like Neptune, being in its home sign is extremely powerful. So as we approach the end of this Neptune and Pisces transit, which technically ends in January of 2026, we are really seeking to open up to the divine in new ways and ask for well, not ask for, but just experience healing or forgiveness, and maybe even to forgive ourselves for something, because Saturn and Mercury again have been conjunct or are conjunct all week.
Speaker 1:There's kind of a guilt factor associated with that conjunction. It's very easy for. Ask anyone with a Mercury-Saturn conjunction in their chart. It's easy for them to feel guilty but also critical of themselves and thereby other people. So it is kind of a depressing week for some people. You know and I've witnessed this, like you know artists having to cancel the rest of their tour, maybe because of illness, but also maybe because, who knows, like maybe because of a mental health challenge or something. Maybe some people have had to call off work this week, whether it's because of an illness again or just feeling a little down, feeling like they need to take some time away from the constant stimuli of, you know, the internet, social media and so on. So, you know, I think a lot of people in that process of right now feeling self-critical are being asked to forgive, to forgive themselves for something or maybe to forgive someone else.
Speaker 1:Who originated this feeling of guilt? Like you know, maybe you consistently feel guilty because your mother shamed you about some things growing up and even though your adult mind understands that it's irrational to still believe that you're at fault for something in that way, maybe you're still again. Maybe your brainstem or your lizard brain or whatever, decides that you are guilty of something. So this is a new moon for letting go, even though it's a new moon, new beginnings. In Pisces it's like okay, well, maybe we're beginning to end something, we're beginning to let go of something, we're beginning to end a habit. Like I said, we're beginning to end nasty sort of self-hatred or harsh sort of words or language that we speak to ourselves and, you know, very contemplative, because Venus is days away from retrograding as well in the sign of Aries, after a Mars retrograde. You know, with Venus being in Mars' sign, this is a time where you are questioning maybe business strategy, money, income-related things, creativity, creative projects, but also relationships and, like you know, mercury-saturn conjunct, combined with a Venus station retrograde, shows that maybe, on this Pisces new moon, you're asking for alone time from your partner or your friend.
Speaker 1:You know I hate to make this all sound so dour and depressing, like I'm not really trying to do that. I just think with every new and full moon, I try to almost like, channel the planets that are, you know, the motion, like the current motion of the planets, and I try to channel the archetype of the planets that are most prominent in this situation. And To me, when I look at all the water in the sky Sun, moon, saturn, mercury, north Node, mars I feel things. I feel really emotional, I feel like because we don't have any Scorpio place, no planets in Scorpio right now. We just have Cancer and Pisces as the water signs.
Speaker 1:To me, those are the more sensitive water signs in some ways, and I only say that because, you know, scorpio is ruled by Mars, so there is some action associated with Scorpio. It's almost like a, you know, fiery water sign. It's like boiling water, and not to say that like cancer and pisces placements are wimps or something. But cancer and pisces to me are very, uh, very sensitive signs though. And again, scorpio is too. But scorpio can get kind of angry and and can kind of use that anger in a sort of an anakin skywalker way. You know to be kind of broody and doing things with that sort of broodiness, but with Mars being in cancer, you know, recently retrograde, I think a lot of people's bodily rhythms are off. Hormones are kind of off right now. I think a lot of people have been getting poor sleep lately.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, just use this Pisces new moon to recognize like, hey, I need a little bit of time off or I need to just relax, need to let go or I need to again forgive myself in some respect and yeah, so those are some of the key traits of the of the new moon. I like the fact that Mars is trining Saturn still, so, like if you need to really make progress with a professional project or you know anything that's kind of industrious and process oriented, you can do that right now, especially if you're trying to push forward with a, you know, creative, exercise, creative project, like if you're trying to create a fashion brand or something. Not a bad time for that. But I do think this new moon is also about health. Pisces, virgo that axis has a lot to do with health.
Speaker 1:If I want to go deeper with this, the Mercury-Saturn conjunction is showing that people who feel this like low-flying guilt about something that they can't identify, or people who speak to themselves harshly, I think, are more likely to experience, possibly some topic, and it's a journey that people go through and it's something that sometimes people need help with and obviously if you need help, you feel like you need help, you should seek help. So it's a very personal journey for everybody in terms of how they grapple with a mental health challenge in their life, how they deal with grief or loss. But I just mean generally speaking. The Mercury-Saturn conjunction in Pisces is asking you to be kind both to others and how you speak to others, but also how you speak to yourself and for some people that's really hard. For some people, again, family hard.
Speaker 1:For some people, you know again, family members may have been extremely harsh growing up, extremely critical. Maybe you have, like a Virgo moon or you have a Saturn moon opposition. You have, you know again, some family members who sort of ingrained this sense of like self-loathing, and I understand that. That's, you know, again, a really heavy journey but also something that people do have the tools to get through. But if you can, you know, help it and I think, you know people have the power to speak sort of positive thoughts to themselves. You know, you just want to try to lean into that positivity this week, because that Mercury-Saturn conjunction in Pisces it can be very somber. It can also be very focused.
Speaker 1:Like I said, if you're someone who's just like, hey, I've been, like I'm not really feeling the emotional stuff right now, I'm just working through a project at work and I'm, you know, zeroing in on that, then keep doing that. You don't have to like resonate with every aspect of the mundane astrology. It's going to affect everyone differently, based on their chart, like I said. But I think most people who follow astrology are intuitive and therefore emotionally attuned and sensitive to the collective emotion, other people's emotions. So, like, if you're an intuitive, I think you'll feel this sort of sober energy. Right now it's a very somber feeling, you know. It's a feeling of sometimes not well, just not being motivated to talk to other people or not feeling motivated to socialize, or, when you socialize with people, feeling as though it's not rewarding. And again, if that's not you right now, totally fine. But I do think the collective right now is going through a bit of again a bit of a pessimistic phase, like this week is a little pessimistic and again it's a short-lived transit for the most part. I'm not saying it's going to last for too long. I mean Mercury will retrograde, close to Saturn again in, you know, late March into early April or mid-March into early April. But essentially this week is the centerpiece of that feeling and that transit, that feeling of fixating on problems and issues and focusing on the downsides of things. That's how Mercury and Saturn operate together. Focusing on the downsides of things. That's how Mercury and Saturn operate together.
Speaker 1:So some people might be looking at the, you know, the darker side of the moon, or whatever you want to call it. They're sort of feeling at times a little bit hopeless. I'm just being real with you. Like that's what this podcast is all about. I mean, if you watch an astrologer like wax poetic about this new moon and just say it's pure magic, I don't think that's really true. I mean, I've seen weird astrology videos lately about how, like, neptune is conjunct, the North node, therefore it's like perfect for creativity and whatnot. But I don't really think it's that. I don't know. I mean I don't always, I don't think it's experienced that way for most people right now.
Speaker 1:I think the Neptune North node conjunction is, you know, really discombobulating for a lot of people. People are feeling sometimes adrift, but anyways, the Mercury-Saturn conjunction can help you focus, can help you accomplish some very pragmatic tasks. But if you're feeling like your thoughts have become a little bit more pessimistic this week, just do whatever you can, whatever's within your power, to avoid, like, the harsh talk, the harsh self-criticism. And definitely, you know, I think everyone has the power to not speak ill of other people or to not, you know, berate other people. It's, you know, it's just a time where you don't know what other people are going through. You don't know what anyone's going through and you know it's best to just be kind to people, obviously always, but especially right now. Like I said, a lot of people are cycling through these really difficult emotions.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, if you want to use this Pisces new moon to just kind of retreat and relax, that's totally fine. If you do want to use this Pisces new moon to make these quantum leaps with a creative project, a media project, fashion brand or, yeah, something film related, something music related, you can also do that. With Venus about to retrograde in Aries, though you definitely have to make sure your heart's in it, that you're I mean well, leo is more so the heart, but, like, you have to make sure that you're truly passionate about what you're doing. I talked about that on my Instagram live last night. So, again, let's say you're a musician and you haven't really written a song that you enjoy for like five years, but you've been touring for five years. Like, consider a new strategy for songwriting or, you know, bringing in some fresh perspectives, bringing in another songwriter to help you, to help collaborate, and you know, write even more magical songs.
Speaker 1:If you're a writer with writer's block, you know, write even more magical songs. If you're a writer with writer's block, you know, think about, with this new moon, a different way to add magic to the creative process. And so for somebody let's say you are somebody who's been working in your field for 10 years and you've lost the passion, you've lost interest in it. This is a good new moon to like again, recoil a little bit, retreat and reassess and reconsider. Is there a different career I should focus on? Should I really continue to be, you know, in this field if I'm not 100% invested? That is a consideration people are making right now, and this applies to relationships as well.
Speaker 1:Do you feel like you have a good, balanced relationship where it's autonomous, both people are autonomous, there's a lot of passion as well, but it's also really cooperative and there's a sense of unification in it. Like all of the above, you know, like is your relationship fulfilling different aspects, but also not codependent, where you're asking each other to fulfill everything? Like do you have a balanced relationship? Remember that the retrograde is sort of like hiring somebody to come into the studio and mix the song in a more fine tuned way, where they're really paying attention to all the EQ, the instrument levels, you know, output levels and et cetera. So we're just finessing the relationships a little bit too.
Speaker 1:And in Pisces, or with the Pisces new moon, maybe this is when you forgive somebody from your past in order to open the door to that relationship coming back in. Or maybe this is when you ask for alone time from a partner because you're not sure anymore. So the question during this Venus retrograde, which is very much intertwined with this new moon and this lunation cycle, is, you know, am I passionate in this relationship? Is the flame still burning? And if it's not, what is the strategy to getting that spark again, that spark of intimacy, that spark of physical passion, yeah, that liveliness, that vivaciousness. And, you know, with the North Node, in Pisces, conjunct Neptune.
Speaker 1:Just to circle back to this other topic, I think, collectively, we're realizing that there are no quick fixes when it comes to health. You know, I continue to meet people who are like, oh, I found this magical pill that, just like, helps me, you know, lose weight, or magical pill that does X, y, z, helps me focus, blah, blah, blah. But I think we're going to realize, before Neptune is fully out of Pisces, by January of next year, that there is no easy fix to something that we're dealing with. We have to address the underlying problems and symptoms and we live in this world where we kind of expect things to just be given to us, to be honest. But the truth is, if you want to live healthy, you've got to do the hard work. If you want to have a good relationship, you have to invest time into it. If you want to be the best astrologer in the world, you have to put I don't know 12 hours a day into it for at least a few years before you can even try to climb to the top. So whatever ambition you have or whatever resolution you had at New Year's, everybody realizes, through whatever scenario they're in, that it takes time, it takes hard work, it takes dedication. I think Saturn-Mercury conjunct is giving us that also, that mentality. But Neptune at the last few degrees of Pisces is also showing us specifically that we can't delude ourselves into believing that there's like this quick, like A to Z pathway to healthiness.
Speaker 1:People are getting sick left and right. I mean, you know it's one of the worst flu seasons ever. Apparently, younger and younger people are getting cancers. Some of that is outside of people's control, some of that is environmental. Some of that has to do with pollutants, but there's other causes too, which includes, like you know, sedentary lifestyle, which the West suffers from. It's something that I also have suffered from for much of my life.
Speaker 1:I mean not always by my own fault, I mean going to high school in the mid-2000s. There was no mandatory like PE or gym program after like ninth grade, I think, and after ninth grade pretty much everybody signed off from ever going to the gym. And unless you were on a sports team, you know you didn't necessarily. And even if you were on a sports team like I was in high school, and sports throughout my teenage years, from basically 8 am till 2.30 pm, wasn't really exercising at all, just sitting down at a desk and sitting by the way, sitting is as bad for you as smoking. So we live in a country and a society where we're not rearing strong individuals. We are, you know, building up these. We're building up people who have powerful minds but not always powerful bodies and physical health, and that eventually, you know, just leads to, I don't know, weakening populace. I think that's a big deal, you know.
Speaker 1:I don't want to go too far down this rabbit hole because I feel like, honestly, unfortunately we live in this age where I can't even, probably, talk about these things too much, otherwise I'll be sort of shamed for even mentioning this. But I mean, you know, I still want to stick to my conviction here that you know personal health, you know the buck stops with us, like we have to make the right choices, and you know there's so many variables that make this claim sort of complicated, right, like you could argue, okay, well, certain areas or communities don't have access to the right foods, or healthy food costs more money, and maybe people are in a situation where they can only work certain, they have to work certain hours and they can't afford to, like go to, they don't have time to go to the gym, like I. Again, I recognize that we live in an age of infinite variables but, like, all things being equal, the pisces new moon is a reckoning for people's health. Like, yeah, like, obviously, if you live in a city full of cars that are gas guzzling, yeah, there's going to be all kinds of CO2 in the air and it's going to influence your breathing and your health and whatnot. But at the same time, like today, I, even though I initially didn't really want to, I decided oh, I'll just go to a Pilates class. You know, I'm in New York this week and just raced up to a Pilates class the last minute and ended up feeling so overjoyed by the experience that afterwards I was like I can't even imagine being sedentary all day. And now, for the last two months, I've been going to the gym five times a week and feeling really rejuvenated by that.
Speaker 1:But for people who expect to take a magic pill and not have to do anything because of that again and I hate to add so many caveats it's probably really annoying for a lot of the listeners. But I'm speaking as someone whose dad is paralyzed, so I guess I'm just a little bit sensitive to this topic. But there's going to be people out there who can't exercise or they have even just temporary physical ailments, like I recognize that too. But like all again, all things being equal, the onus is on you to just really look at, okay, what is my lifestyle, and is it promoting good health or bad health? Do I? Am I diluting myself into thinking that there's just some quick fix, or there's side effects to something I'm trying to do as a quick fix?
Speaker 1:We're building up to a lunar eclipse in Virgo, which also deals with health more so on a physical plane and the immune system, and that eclipse could deal with some initiative initiative by rfk jr to investigate some like health agency or health practice. But I still think on a personal level, a lot of people are going to be experiencing all kinds of revelations about health and a different way to again, or a different lifestyle. Maybe that would help accomplish different health goals. So if, if these topics make you want to turn off the podcast, then that's case in point. Right, like I understand it's not necessarily exciting always to talk about health, and I'm not like a fitness influencer, so you don't necessarily. Or a medical practitioner, so you might be like, well, why do I have to take advice from Evan? It's like, well, I'm looking at the astrology, I'm not just like speculating here.
Speaker 1:You know we are living in the Neptune and Pisces timeline right now, which has tempted a lot of us to completely divorce ourselves from a healthy lifestyle. Whether it's through the smartphone, social media, these are some of the most addictive products in human history and, yeah, that has encouraged us to kind of tap out. And then, when we are asked to do things that are physically taxing, or asked to be really active. For a time, it's like, wow, this is suddenly really hard, and so I think this is something that the collective is experiencing right now too, though, like, yeah, there's many reasons for flu season being so bad this year, which, again, I'm not qualified to speak to all those dimensions but there is a component of it which is that, yeah, people are not healthy generally. I don't even think life expectancy is, I think it's still declining in the US and like comorbidities are on the rise. You know, and it is a really, really, really daunting issue actually that we don't talk about enough in the news, and I think there's a reason for that. I think that mass media companies have, and big agriculture, like all these different stakeholders have, every incentive to keep the population weak. I mean, that's my true opinion on it.
Speaker 1:But also, this is a new moon for addressing mental health, and a lot of people struggle with that right and, again, that's legitimate. It's a super serious topic. So, again, not saying, oh, these are the easy steps you'll take on the new moon to address that, but it is a time to focus on mental health and, in the sign of Pisces being also very spiritual though, focusing on maybe spiritual ways to achieve that. Or, you know, mindfulness training or focusing on ways to take time away from the sort of day in and day out side of life. And then, six months from now, september 7th, we're going to have a lunar eclipse in Pisces and that's going to be the climax and it's going to kind of encapsulate this Pisces new moon era. So, you know, buckle up in that way. Like you know, we have eclipses tied to this new moon from the perspective of the. You know, the follow-up two weeks after and the six-month follow-up full moon in the same sign. So both of the full moons that are, you know, interconnected with this new moon are eclipses, and lunar eclipses at that.
Speaker 1:So, you know, I think this does have a lot to do with health and healing and finding a better way and not deluding ourselves again into thinking there's a quick fix and, honestly, even doing kind of a retrospective on how we have lived our lives since 2011, when Neptune went into the sign. Just journal about it. Go back to 2011, up till now, and if you are intermediate or advanced at astrology, remind yourself when Neptune squared, opposed or conjoined any of your personal planets or your chart angles, and look back at that time or I mean when and think about those habits or lifestyle choices as being very relevant for this final passage of Neptune in Pisces. Think about how those habits influenced your health over the long haul. For instance, when Neptune was squaring both my Mercury and Mars at the same time, in 2014, 15, and 16, and even part of 2017, I guess I made a lot of bad choices.
Speaker 1:Regarding drinking, I mean, I drank tons of alcohol from 2014 to 2017, which was my first four years in New York City. I was a 20-something in New York. I mean, that's just what people do oftentimes. Even though I really enjoyed the socializing. It was a really fun time Honestly, even more fun than college it was also really detrimental to my body. I think I'm still paying for that. I haven't drank in three and a half years, which I'm really proud of, but I do think I'm still paying for some of those lifestyle choices.
Speaker 1:So for me, I would journal about that. Okay, neptune squared my Mercury squared my Mars and Saturn was in Sag in my sixth house. That was brutal in 2015, 16, 17. That's when I think I set my health back, more so than any other three years in my life, but I would go back to. In my case, I would go back to those years and say, okay, what was going on at that time? What was I doing and how was I deceiving myself in other ways? Neptune can be all kinds of deception and I would reflect on that and basically ask myself how can I rectify that situation?
Speaker 1:Or how can I be more honest about things, transparent and for other people, your journey could look completely different. You might look back at a Neptune Mars opposition that you had in, let's say, 2012 and tell me hey, evan, that's the time when I was taking a certain pharmaceutical, I was prescribed something and it really wrecked me, messed me up. There are all these side effects that they didn't talk about, and I've been recovering since. Your journey is going to be really personal to you, but I think that everybody's going to be doing some final reflections right now on their health journey dating back to 2011. And some of the clues context clues are buried in those years, these past 14 years, and you can consult an astrologer if you're confused about how to interpret transits.
Speaker 1:But if you're advanced in astrology, look back at all these hard aspects with Neptune and pretty much any of your placements and obviously you will have to interpret it in light of those specific placements. But let's say again, you're basically creating this map to the treasure, which is the insight about what you still need to heal. And again, for other people this is just a time of bliss, creativity, feeling connected to a higher power or a creative muse. You know removing the negative, harsh, the harsh, negative self-critical talk from your thought process. You know just letting go of harsh thoughts, letting go of the need to criticize others, and experiencing a beautiful divine union in the aftermath of that. Because, yeah, it's always a projection when we criticize somebody. It's always a projection of pain when we try to make someone else feel bad.
Speaker 1:And during this new moon, some of you might feel a sense of empathy for someone else who is being marginalized or put down by someone else, and you'll defend them or you will help out, help donate towards a cause you know, participate in a humanitarian effort. All those types of things can happen as well. So, yeah, it's a beautiful new moon. It doesn't have to be dark, it doesn't have to be somber, but I wanted to bring us through that somber territory to show you that, while the collective might be navigating some of these themes, it's also totally up to you as to whether or not you want to kind of fly on out of that. That murky water, you know, pisces to me, feels like drowning, sometimes feels like drowning in your own emotions. You know it's a flood, a flood of emotions, and feeling everything at once, and you know, feeling everything at once and still finding the, experiencing the profound, it's just a profound phenomenon. It's a profound phenomenon to feel everything all at the same time, you know it, it's very, almost awe-inspiring.
Speaker 1:In the collective, we could see health announcements, there could be some changes in the healthcare industry, among healthcare executives. Maybe a boat crash, maybe some undersea cables are suddenly cut off, possibly communication between, yeah, maybe like communication is cut off between certain countries somehow. Yeah, I think the whole maritime sector is a little challenged at this time. I also think there could be some investigations into healthcare companies, pharmaceutical companies. I think RFK Jr is probably going to mount some sort of investigative campaign or, you know, there there are maybe shifting perspectives about healthcare at this time. And, yeah, maybe some creative breakthroughs though care at this time. And yeah, maybe some creative breakthroughs though, maybe some massive new films being announced or whatnot, but also, on that topic, maybe some setbacks for Hollywood. You know Saturn does restrict things, so there could be celebrities no longer talking to each other in the news, or a film suddenly being I don't know film production being canceled for some reason, or another celebrity being exposed for something.
Speaker 1:You know Saturn, mercury, is very judgmental, but it also can, you know, litigate things and can cut through the noise and really focus on and maybe it's an accusation or it's, you know, again some sort of legal matter being brought to light. Anyways, there's a lot more packed into this new moon, which I'll talk about in my Substack newsletter in the coming days. I'm going to write that while I'm in New York, oh, and you know, with Pisces being wet, snowy, inclement weather in a lot of ways, you know, there probably will be some pretty massive rainstorms, maybe snowstorms, and, as we saw in Detroit, you know, maybe it's just a rainstorm followed by a freeze and it just the whole place turns to ice. I mean, we could see all kinds of stuff like that. We could see all kinds of stuff like that, and it could delay travel in some respects, because Mercury conjunct Saturn can be shown to. You know, again, not necessarily like to cut off travel entirely, but just to create some delays and bottlenecks.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, open your emotional sphere to the outside world. You know, feel things, allow yourself to be sensitive, connect with the divine, come up with an amazing piece of music or an amazing film idea. Unify with people, forgive people, you know, cut back on the negative talk. Show people some grace and patience and recognize that they are potentially also going through something or maybe suffering, and I think that if you're able to do that, alleviate someone else's suffering, it does, I think, bring you some fulfillment and joy as well. And if you are suffering with information overload, then this is a great new moon. To just take a step back. If you've been feeling ill for months now, if you've been feeling like you've had the flu or something and you can't maybe you can't identify it or categorize all the symptoms, you know maybe this is a time where you just finally admit that you need some time off and you take the time to recover. All of these types of events can happen during this Pisces new moon.
Speaker 1:And again, if you're like Evan, this is not the podcast episode I expected, or this is, you know, doesn't sound fun. I mean, that's just how Mercury-Saturn is. I'm speaking right now, as Mercury is conjunct Saturn Like it's a bit of a heavy transit, especially in Pisces. But you know, reaching out to really help others you know Pisces is selfless Reaching out to help others will, I think, bring in a lot of good experiences, rich experiences, into your life.
Speaker 1:And you know, in the astrology realm just the astrology community I've noticed a lot of vitriolic rhetoric and people have gone on these tirades, especially on TikTok, to try and denigrate other astrologers, and that's a perfect example of that harsh criticism that we all have to just let go of and purge with the South Node and Virgo. I'm not a fan of that. You know there's astrologers out there who I vehemently disagree with. There's astrologers out there who I don't even think should be making astrology videos. There's astrologers who are self-loathing astrologers. They don't even like astrology anymore and they're still making videos about astrology. I witness that every day.
Speaker 1:When I watch astrology content, I always ask myself what is this? I don't think there's that many good astrologers doing social media content, but it's like I don't go online and post a video saying I think this astrologer should stop scamming people or making content. That's not my vibe and whatever industry you're in, stay above the fray If there's bad apples in the water trying to poison the well, or whatever the analogy is. Just stay away from that. Don't get yourself mixed in it, and everyone who is listening to this might think oh, is Evan trying to be cryptic and mention a specific person? I'm really not. Every time I just noticed the temperature has been rising a little bit lately, especially lately with Mars stationing direct, and I personally don't appreciate it.
Speaker 1:I think it's incredibly unbecoming of anyone who's making content online. Nobody has any reason to berate someone else who never did anything to them, unless they're screaming for attention, and I think that type of behavior has no place. There's no place for that type of behavior, but I would hope that astrologers who are engaging in that sort of acerbic dialogue, I hope that they would recognize the transits that are going on right now and recognize that. Hey, the South Nodes and Virgo let's think about before we criticize someone else. Let's think about the origination of our criticism.
Speaker 1:Is it really rooted in good intentions, or is it coming from a dark place? Is it coming from trauma? Is it coming from wounds that we experienced when we were younger, I mean, and these are all legitimate experiences that we have to be sensitive to. That I have to be sensitive to, which is why I don't go online to cast someone in a bad light, you know, because I recognize that they're hurting and I just feel bad that they're in pain. So, you know, hold a mirror up to yourself and ask yourself why am I yelling at this person, why am I hating on this person? Why am I resenting this person? Is there something in myself that I can't forgive? Is there something that I feel guilty about? If you forgive yourself or if you heal, experience that healing within yourself, then you'll be a source of joy for others, and then we don't have to make these podcasts about how somber things might be right now or how people are suffering.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of suffering in the world because, also, when people depart this world, they remain attached to the material realm, because we live in a materialistic society, so there's a lot of entities out there. They remain attached to the material realm because we live in a materialistic society, so there's a lot of entities out there that are attached to people, and you know that, in my opinion, does contribute to some of the despair, the mental health issues and the nihilism that's rampant in our world. So we're entering, hopefully, an age of air and fire, with, you know, pluto and Aquarius, uranus and Gemini coming up where you know, things might get more I don't know a bit lighter and people might become more collaborative and participating in a collective, raising the vibrations and frequencies and bringing us to that sort of new earth where we reach a point where nihilism starts to dissipate and when souls transition, they fully willingly transition into the ether wherever they go and people feel this buoyancy about life again while they're here and then we start to finally repopulate the earth. We don't have to worry anymore about declining population because everyone's too cynical to have kids and I think that's the word I left out of this podcast is cynicism. That's what we have to eradicate right now Cynicism, nihilism, doubt, pessimism.
Speaker 1:There's too many negative emotions swimming in the collective right now and I get that people have reasons to feel that way. Maybe you are of a certain political view where maybe you hate the state of the world right now. You hate maybe the leadership. Okay, but you still have the power to change your immediate reality. Okay, but you still have the power to change your immediate reality and you don't have to tap into the news every day.
Speaker 1:Honestly, how much good. Does it? Do you to keep up with X or Twitter and all the daily happenings? When have you actually enacted change based on what you've read in the news? So when have you actually enacted change based on what you've read in the news? Maybe you have, but a lot of times we don't. We just say, well, that was depressing, that's depressing news. And I do think it starts with healing yourself and really with Mars written cancer, really uprooting, or just looking at the family roots, the family wounds, and if you can resolve conflict in your family, I think you'll be able to resolve conflict in all the other aspects of your life.
Speaker 1:So, thank you so much for listening to this episode. Definitely share it with other people, give it a review, give it a like or whatever. Helps the podcast algorithms. And, yeah, check out the sub stack that's coming out in the next few days about this new moon, which will also have horoscopes for each sign. And yeah, I really appreciate your participation in this podcast as a listener. And again, check out the horoscopes. And yeah, I'll see you at the next episode, take care.
